ARTIST'S STATEMENT
Forgotten Things
This new series of acrylic paintings on canvas explores our imprint on the world around us. Shadows both trail and precede us. Only the absence of light separates us from them. They can either obscure or define forms and objects. Shadows provide depth and are a necessary counterpart of light. They are without substance, yet substantial. Our paths overlap and progress from shadow to light.
